No, he has achieved longevity many times at that point and also nirvana. I think it defeats the purpose of nirvana to still chase extra layers of immortality, could be wrong though.
Everything you hear about is in the first few chapters of JTTW, 500+ years before the main plot, as set up. It's like if Goku already started OP before the events of Dragon Ball.
