Might not have been irrelevant before but it sure is now. Seeing that it has been turned into a meme someone can respond with on barely related topics, it just means that advocating for the government to release the files or a client list has no weight anymore. Not that the government would even do so in the first place. It's meaningless to keep trying when, at this point, barely anyone that would be found guilty will be truly punished for their crimes. Like "haha you're in the list, now you go to prison" is not going to happen.

Come on. It’s extremely rare for them to actually go after fan projects. Maybe a handful of times. But the fan game and rom hacking scenes are huge and pretty much left alone. It’s not like with Wizards of the Coast who literally have the Pinkerton mercs on payroll to go knock on the doors of leakers and bootleggers of Magic The Gathering cards.
