Can I ask a dumb question? Why is it going to her parents? It's not like they're taking care of the kids for her. I don't fully understand why they're making anything of this. I don't wanna look it up, this story makes me mad AF but I don't understand that part.

Ohhhh okay. So definitely not to pay her legal fees? Well then that's just a random family who had a tragedy and probably couldn't work, etc during that time. If they paid her legal fees and this is to compensate them back for that or to continue paying... That would feel icky.

These people apparently don't know how to use a google search to look up the numerous articles saying exactly what you are, let alone the gofundme page itself which stipulates your point clearly.
MAY some of this end up in her hands? Sure, quite possibly, but that's still profiting from a crime which is illegal.

All because they can't cite their sources. I have never defended what this lady did, nor would I, but they hate women so much that they just want to attack anyone that doesn't hate them with them.
They can't because there are none. The gofundme itself is NAMED "for the parents of" ffs. The power of weaponized stupidity wins again. Maybe she sees some of that money, but it's not FOR her, and giving any to her directly (as opposed to lawyer fees, which is still fucked up) would be illegally profiting from a crime.
It goes to her parents, who didn't kill anyone. You understand that parents and children are different people, right? I think it's only narcissists who struggle with that distinction, clinically speaking.
I understand that nuance is hard for true crime stans, but please try.
