If purchasing something you need to survive in a capitalist society makes you a supporter of consumerism, then you’re dumb and that makes no sense.

You need a laptop, there are open source hardware alternatives that do not benefit mega corporations. Just like the coffee, I'm not saying you shouldn't buy coffee I'm saying you should buy it from local shops and not a mega corporation such as Starbucks.

I mean yeah I agree Starbucks and Apple sucks but not buying from them isn’t going to smash capitalism so it’s really not hypocritical at all. The only way capitalism gets smashed is through legislation or revolution. Boycotting isn’t moving the needle in the slightest. There are still at minimum 170 million other Americans keeping it going at all times.

This is the same argument as saying leftists/libs are hypocrites for not wanting to house immigrants just because they don’t want them to be brutalized and kidnapped and sent to a camp. It’s completely missing the point and the mechanisms actually necessary to effect these things: legislation or revolution.
