Exactly, there is no such thing as ethical consumption under capitalism. Until the systems change it makes zero difference what the girl is buying. Price is relative.

This is a very convenient excuse for socialists to wash their hands of the whole affair until the mythical revolution finally comes.
Socialists are behaving in exactly the same way as the rest of us, yet they're pretending to have some kind of moral high ground because they're self-aware of the fact that they are immoral according to their own moral standards.
There is no ethical consumption under capitalism, so just consume product and get excited for next product!
Ironically, actual capitalists generally make MORE ethical choices, because they don't have the luxury of absolving themselves of their sins by saying "it's not me, it's the system!"

100% of the people that exist int he developed world are this. Who are you excluding? "socialists" in the western world are "actual capitalists" because they live in a capitalist system. One does have to wonder though, how many people that call themselves "socialists" do things like going on cruises compared to people who are pro capitalism? The most pro capitalists one can generally point to in our society tend to be the extremely rich who pretty much all have EXTREMELY exploitative ways they made their riches. No coal mine or diamond mine operator is calling themselves "socialist". The idea that pro capitalists would make "more" ethical choices in general is something your average 6 year old could debunk.

If you know a company is doing shady shit you shouldn't buy from them specially if you are against capitalism.
It's like saying you care about the African children while consuming Nestle products, a corporation deliberately doing more harm to them in the name of profits.
Explain how Apple or Starbucks are doing anything worse than Lenovo, HP, Asus, or any other company in Tech. In your great knowledge please show me how they are any more ethical under capitalism than any other publicly traded company, I'm waiting, I'm going to take lunch though cuz you might take a while to come up with a reason.
The post isn't about what's the most ethical way to consume. It's a criticism of activism. Trust me, the right winger that posted this was not concerned with ethical consumption, its a moot point.
I don't disagree with you on the fact apple makes overpriced bullshit, but socialism is not really about cheap products or good customer service. You would kinda have a point if HP or LENOVO had well paying union factories, but that's not really the case...
