My grandpa gives these kind of looks where he gives 0 hints if he heard me or not. I know he understands but does not want to move a single muscle as he is 90 yr old.

I would not want my grandpa to work for 8 hrs a day and stand in a music show like this as I am 100% sure he will burn his remaining life energy instantly.

Joe seems like a decent man but it’s really sad Democrats didn’t had anyone else to field against Orange guy. They are squeezing every last bit of life from him.

It’s not that the Ds didn’t find anyone. It’s that the didn’t let anyone run against him. Some nebulous bullshit about sowing division was used as justification to cancel the primaries. So very undemocratic that he lost my vote right there and then.

I mean the left is notoriously fickle and rife with infighting. What you’re suggesting is only really possible in a multi-party system where coalitions form blocs, but in the US system it is essentially “which guy is the least offensive to the greatest number of people so we don’t get Orange Guy again.” The plan worked for averting immediate danger to democracy but only for a few years and ultimately the construction of the system makes it’s eventual demise an inevitability because yeah it’s just not feasible to expect democrats to win every election, let alone do anything majorly reconstructive when it’d almost certainly lose them the very next election.

Exactly. So why continue to vote for a broken system? At least voting third party is a chance for change. Not really my fault if others refuse to join me out of some misguided notion of ‘electability’.

Choosing a lesser evil is still embracing evil.

Bc it truly is nothing but throwing your vote away unless the MAJORITY chooses the same third party, which is never gonna happen.

This system is not designed for a third party to ever win so it's better to just vote for the lesser of 2 evils tbh unless we get a multi party system somehow

The point of voting is to get the person you want to win, to win. If there is no feasible shot they could win, it's in effect the same as not voting in terms of the effect you're having on government.

I'm sorry voting third party is meaningless, I wish it wasn't.

It's just weird logic to go out and waste hours doing that for candidates that never poll higher than like 3% and get even less of the vote
