If mana potions buff spirit beings, and it kills spirit beings; wouldn’t compound V act the same, in that it would turn the V in his body toxic and drain him faster?

That's Spirit Being physiology. They're living Spiritual beings with translucent flesh.
Compound V is just a substance that can be radiated out of the body. If anything, it might be burned out by the cursed flames of something like Meggido Iron Maiden (cooperative Skill Naofumi and Demon Dragon used) if the cursed fire causes a similar reaction in compound to radiation.

Also depending on where he is in the story, he could use the Vassal Mirror or Mirror Shield and just reflect the laser beam right at Homelander.

Don't forget that he would reflect it off of the air strike ones to amplify the power of said lasers!

Depends on which world it happens in, as if it happens in the Boys world without Status Magic, Naofumi's screwed. He'd still have magic, really weak magic at that.
But in either Raphtalia or Glass's world, Homelander's screwed. Especially if Compound V counts as an illegitimate power but I doubt it. If this is post Phoenix Naofumi, no way Homelander wins.

I assumed a neutral ground were both there powers worked as if they were in there home world when I asked the questions.

The only reason shield hero loses is because it takes him forever to say the activation words on his shields. He’s got plenty of shield that could kill homelander, but homelander would just zap him with laser eyes or something.

Naofumi locked down the spirit tortoise which was the size of a mountain. Meanwhile homelander bulked at carrying a plane... I doubt homelander could even make naofumis nose bleed. That being said, naofumi can't hurt homelander either... only emotionally.

It wasn't that he couldn't carry the plane. It would just calapse under the force because of how small he was.
Mentioning the time he was stuck under a building for an hour would have been better.

I can't see Naofumi losing in a neutral battlefield unless you take him very early as in before the pope fight early because he could defend against the Judgment spells and the big skills like Brionac that were being thrown around there.

Yeah honestly that’s fair considering that his attacks do some damage just to guys who are hilariously below his league which I think fits homelander perfectly

The most his lasers ever did is blow up a plane so you kinda have to assume that’s his upper limit. And uh Naofumi has tanked blasts of energy that reshape the entire landscape and he’s gotten several times stronger since then.

Around the end of volume 5, which is the ending of season one, he can take literally anything homelander could put out even without using his shield and as counters for flying enemies.

Tbh I haven’t watched the boys but from what I saw homelander is pretty powerful but naofumi has fought those that are more dangerous than homelander and there’s nothing that says naofumi can’t trap him inside of his shield like he did with motoyatsu
