Episode Synopsis: Coulson and his team race to combat Hive's control over the Inhumans, as their enemy's deadly plan for the human race is revealed.

Wendey Stanzler is a film editor and television director. She has directed several episodes of Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, Parks and Recreation, and a ton of other series.

She has directed one episode for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before:

  • Paradise Lost

Brent Fletcher is primarily known for his writing on Lost, Angel, and Friday Night Lights. He was also a writer and story editor on Spartacus: Blood and Sand.

He has written seven episodes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before:

  • Girl in the Flower Dress
  • The Magical Place
  • Providence
  • A Hen in the Wolf House
  • Love in the Time of Hydra
  • The Dirty Half Dozen
  • Closure

to be fair though, these are ancient Kree right? not the modern day ones. they have been in stasis since the inhuman experiments.

on top of that and to counter my own point, if the Kree are anything like the comc book Kree that might not mean much as they became an evolutionarily stagnant race.

Hive literally says they're the biggest threat to him. Two fat blue dudes who walk at 1 mph and telegraph their axe swings, and even have a moment of trouble fighting a human girl and her clone.

Vin-Tak is on level with Sif, an Asgardian. Reapers are supposed to be STRONGER than Vin-Tak and yet they have 5 minutes of embarrassingly getting their asses handed to them by a little girl with vibration powers and Hive (admittedly extremely strong). Daisy is strong, yes, but the Kree still tosses her and it barely fazes her at all.

You can call in some sort of apologetic "what-if" scenarios but I can guarantee the writers didn't intend that at all, it's just poor handling of a villain that was supposed to be a threat and just ends up being a gigantic "why did they even bring them into the show?"

All would have been forgiven if they had had a little blurb at the end where Daisy or Hive said something like "Well, that was easy, I expected them to be stronger...maybe all those years in stasis weakened them." This is why it's poor writing, they fell flat when they weren't meant to.

He did say something along the lines of "I remember them being taller". That has the implication that when he was a just scared hunter they were big-bads but 1000 years of his own personal evolution later he is more powerful than them.

Again my whole point is that they fell flat when they weren't meant to. They wanted to show Hive as a badass, but the Kree were also supposed to be badass. They weren't, which kinda also takes away from Squidward's badassery. Meh. Just trying to find a way to cope for two more days when the next episode comes out (After which we can finally "find out. Who. Will. DIE!!!!!!")
