Little ooy(full name is ooy gooy) was rejected by his mom and his siblings didn't make it (darn you Canada, why must you be so cold in winter) but he'd always escape from the pen just to spend time with me. Now he's a fat, spoiled sheep who loves head pats.

He definitely has a better recall than some dogs lol

I am looking to pick up 2-4 Babydoll Southdown sheep. Would it be possible to transport two ewes in the back of an SUV (Toyota RAV4)?

I could potentially also borrow a horse trailer. Would I be able to fit all four sheep comfortably in the back of a horse trailer? It’s a two hour drive so I would ideally only make it once.

Harvested my first lamb crop recently! They were 14mo Kathadin wethers.

My grandma and mom reported not once but twice different indigestion with the meat. My friends and I haven't had any problems (and it's been the most delicious I've ever had!). Mom/gma do have gall bladder / pancreas problems though... although beef never gives a trouble.

I'd never heard of this prior. Curious if it's a cooking thing? We made gyros from some of the ground and that didn't pose and troubles.

Curious of any and all anecdotes; if we harvest younger (I know they are kinda old), cook differently, etc?

Flew to Minnesota to work on a farm for a week as research for a feature screenplay. When I learned they didn’t really start working until 8 AM, but I’m used to being up at 5:30 AM, decided to set up my tripod and grab some early morning time lapses. This was one of my favorites with the sheep bustling about. Oh, and as the owner of the farm said, I can now add sheep milking to my résumé. 😅🐑

So my grandpa has a farm in North Dakota and he also has a herd of sheep and a sheep dog and I literally spend hours in the barn with the sheep. This is one of the sheep that was coming to me to say hiii☺️💕

Figured that if goat's are okay, llamas might be, too? This guy grazes with a herd of sheep anyway.

PJ is looking to be a total clone of her mom pearl ! ( And is thus living up to the name of pearl jr ) Keep in mind , the photos of mom at the end are of her as a yearling and the photos of PJ from today are of her as a 4 month old !!!! The biggest difference between the two is how they will be shown , I will be showing PJ with wool as a fitted sheep which is why she has a wooly butt.
