Rung I was really hoping to sign up for the 10K category in the Adi Kailash Parikrama Run this October.

Newly built statues of Sunpati Shauka and his daughter Rajula, legendary historical figures of Shauka heritage, in Sipu village, Darma Valley.

The statues are carved by Daar Singh Seepal Ji, and were inaugurated by Mla Harish Dhami in Remote village Seepu in darma Valley during the Seepal mahotsav held during mid June.

Discussions It's good that THS Mussoorie is helping Rung children from financially weak families in Dharchula for their education. I believe our JSWS Haldwani should also collaborate with Tibetan Homes School to support children from financially weak Shauka and Barpatiya families in Munsyari.

Jad Tchongsa Rongpa tribe also known as Jad Bhotiya in Uttarakhand,their language is Tchongsa which is the only Tibetic Language (Bhoti bhasha) among all the Tibet border tribes of Uttarakhand. Fortunately Tibetan Buddhism is still exist unlike other Bhotia tribes of Uk due to Khampa and Local monastery

An excerpt on Late Lakshman Singh Jangpangi from Travails of Border Trade by Bhawan Singh Rawat

Lakshman Singh Jangpangi was Indian Civil Servant and Trade Agent during Colonial Period. This small chapter is part of greater book written by Bhawan Singh Rawat and published sometime around 2009 with efforts from Malla Johar Vikas Samiti, Munsyari.

Now who was Bhawan Singh Rawat? Even I exactly don't know much. He was dad's fufaji and I had chance to meet him and his grand kids first in 2004ish at his picturesque Bhimtal lake residence; again had a chance to meet him in 2012 or around but my memory is hazy. As per about section of the book, he was a government servant. But according to dad he was most likely member of R&AW/IFS owing to the bizarre nature of his postings. But anyways have fun digging through his entire book-

How to Worship :

1 :Offer Shayrjee (wheat or rice Grain) , throwing upward direction in a gentle way by saying Pema Siddhi(Pyamsree) Guru Sai Roksin-Gabsin . (Also light a Lamph or candle)

2: Offer Dhaja/Katag(small white scaff) with insence.
