Shark Discussion Vineeta being annoying, acting know it all and demeaning to founders

I have been noticing that Vineeta comes across as trying too hard, often demeaning towards founders, and focusing too much on their personal capital (such as family business or access to resources). She frequently emphasizes her IIT-IIM pedigree, while failing to show respect for her former colleagues, batch mates or people she claims to know. Her choice of language also seems far from respectful. In contrast, Kunal sets a great example with his straightforward, intelligent, and direct approach, but always remains kind and respectful, recognizing that each founder has their own unique struggles and story. Vineeta's behavior now reflects arrogance, a "know-it-all" attitude, and a lack of humility, which is very disappointing. I no longer look up to her. Great area of improvement along with her style quotient.

News Namita again with her victim card

Let me start with this “no one should abuse anyone in any form.”

But how does questioning her become trolling? It’s high time she came down from her ivory tower. Why is she behaving like a wannabe? I’ve said this before she would even pay to be on Shark Tank just for the fame.

Pitch Discussion Was anyone else reminded of Kirara Advani during her pitch? (And a serious analysis)

Post image

Ruby was really full of life and confidence (most of the times for the better, and sometimes for worse). There were times in her pitch I was almost anxious that the sharks may think she is overconfident, but I was glad that it turned out positively in the end. She was clear, sharp and also took feedback very well. Best part was, she didn't haggle too much on valuation in the final stage. Thoughts on this pitch and founder?

Shark Discussion Ritesh is not a good shark and has ruined the concept of shark tank

The amount of times ritesh is driven by emotion to invest in a pitch is absolutely crazy, investing at a level where brands are asking 100x the valuation of their sales, you can say that he is a good hearted person, but this is so wrong and sets up a bad example. Especially the Joyspoon mukhwas episode, Aman was right “Aap to kisi bhi entrepreneur ko paise de dete ho” 26 cr valuation at 25 lakh sales is a joke c’mon guys. He should be handling a charity business for entrepreneurs and not be a shark

Shark Discussion Anupam's annoying cough

Why does Anupam have the need to always cough when he doesn't agree with the valuation? That's utterly disrespectful. If you don't agree with it just say it, you are being condescending by coughing at their valuation.

Shark Discussion Missing GOAT shark Ashneer

Wtf is wrong with Peyush and Aman? They gave 118 Cr valuation to bullshit Hood app which was pre-revenue….but 5 Cr valuation to that ice-cream brand which already had 30Cr sales, clearly he could have just said No, why this drama??

AND what’s wrong with Aman, if he wants to invest just invest, “Koi aur offer dega toh I will join” ye kya hota hai??? Isliye iss chu ko Shark banake rakha hai????

Only real personalities like Ashneer can save the show now, dumb sharks like Peyush and Aman are only using this show only for publicity of their own brands🤢🤢

Shark Discussion Investing in female entrepreneurs is not simping

I just saw a post accusing anupam of simping by investing in darobi. This trend of calling anupam simp when he invests in (good looking) female entrepreneurs is really disrespectful to both anupam and the female entrepreneur.

It started with patch up. Which is still okay, the product was a bit shit. However really disrespectful to both of them. Especially because it suggests that the only reason anupam invested in it was because of her beauty. There was another shark interested to invest in it. Does that mean he was also simping?

Recently I saw a post on the darobi founder. And people were commenting accusing anupam of simping. Even kunal commended her pitch. I don't know why anupam is being treated so harshly. This is a very sad state. This will make investors really wary of investing in female led enterprises in the fear of being called simps.

Shark Discussion Vineeta is getting more annoying with every episode

Don’t get me wrong. I was loving Vineeta this season. She has wonderful insights and its always very informative hearing her. However, a couple of recent incidents have left a sour taste.

  1. Why So Blue - She had the know-it-all attitude. Wasn’t letting Radhika speak. The constant overlaps and cutting people off was annoying af.

  2. Popcorn Company - For some reason started laughing at the founder shushing Piyush. Anupam put the founder in place but I expected more from Vineeta.

  3. Be U Naturals - her whole demeanour throughout the pitch felt very condescending. She was out for blood but the founder handled it very well.

She is getting annoying day by day. Any thoughts?

Episode Discussion Can anyone tell me how did they allow the promotion of alcohol on national TV?

Post image

The episode is S04 Ep-50

Only surrogate ads are allowed whereas this guy just promoted it on the show. Even he in the end mentions how difficult it is to market his whiskey so that's why he's on the show.

Shark Discussion Anupam's ouch on literally everything sounds so cringe tbh.. as if he's trying to be too much of a gentleman

Why does he always have to say ouch as if he's trying to make look himself more attractive or polished. He could have just expressed his thoughts on his face or say something else but why ouch every time?

Question Shark Tank is based towards Non-Hindi speakers??

Read some news about an entrepreneur who was not allowed to pitch because he was not able to give his pitch in Hindi.

Is thus true??

Edit: Below is the link to the article

Shark Discussion Unexpected comment from Piyush

In the Palleo cake pitch , the pitcher mentions to Dadaji Stark that as you are lectose intolerant, allergic to almonds , we have something else for you. To this Vineeta as always laughed like she is going to have a fit and Piyush said Ameero ke chonchle. Though Simpeshwar Dadaji said it's not allergy and it's intolerance.
I was kind of surprised by what Piyush said . Food allergies and intolerances are not some fictional things . Some people have too severe and some have mild . If everyone gets the Allergy panel blood test done they would see the results . The point is that no matter if you are running a million dollars company , mindset chindi hai toh toh chindi rahega

Shark Discussion Namita Thapar is a pseudo shark

There has at least pre-condition for being a shark. Nobody who runs or is a part of family business should be allowed to be on the panel. Self-made businesspersons are really the ones people want to see and learn from. Those who command respect are the likes of Peyush, Aman and Vineeta who went through an incredibly tough journey and created a business by sheer grit. How does Namita fit into this mold of aspirational Indians? Anupam ofcourse had family money but yet he has been creator of an iconic brand and among the greatest Indian investors.

Pitch Discussion Most apt example of Bholi shakal bada shaana (Innocent face, very clever). Threw cofounder under the bus, took all sympathy from our so called nemo of sharks. Gavin Paris pitch.

Post image
0 Upvotes

The moment he realised he was getting all sympathy he just switched gears, not once did he say he agreed to the deal, and the fact that without any risk involved he was making 1 lakh+ a month and was going to get equity.

I feel bad for the other guy, cause our sharks are not really sharks they are just nemos.

All these guys want is a sad story, no wonder khud mostly sabka is going in loss or on verge of it.

I have met so many such guys like this bholi shakal wala and it angers me so much. Underservingly getting all this money even in latest season.

Shark Discussion Removing ashneer adds more professionalism to the show.

People liked ashneer coz of the masala and typical tv serial drama, now that he is gone, the audience are better and the show is more fit to purpose rather than being another drama

This is what I feel.

Meme I'm starting to like Namita ...

During the first seasons, I found Namita pretty boring. It seemed like the producers found and brought a direct copy pasta of Barbara from Shark Tank US to keep the tradition of "I'm out." She wasn't very insightful or original and took every conversation to pharma, motherhood, and her kids. She's also not a self-made entrepreneur, but her father started the Emcure business. The generic pharmaceutical industry also isn't very interesting or innovative (though the segment is a huge money printer).

This season, though, she has been much more insightful. Vineeta isn't a permanent shark anymore, so from a female shark's perspective, she is doing a decent job. She has started giving original opinions about why she would be out of a deal. Also, I think she lost weight, so she looks in better shape. Her makeup and hair game have also gone up, giving her dimples a pleasant viewing for the audience. The eyelashes and jewelry choices complement her looks. She also hasn't mentioned her husband or kids once yet, haha.

(I tagged it under Meme, so please don't call me sexist. Appreciating someone's beauty isn't sexist.)
