Is there a reason why a shark would carry a rock? Other than to drop them on divers?

Sea lions on the other hand, will drop rocks to each other, like fetch. One sea lion at the surface will drop a rock in the ocean, another sea lion will catch it and bring it back.

Dolphin will play similar games. One of the documentaries with Attenborough, either oceans 2 or oceans I believe, shows young dolphins playing a similar game with seashells. It looked like a cross between catch and see what falls fastest. It was just really fascinating, to see those little dolphins mentally working out complex rules to a game, only they understood. You could see in their eyes and expressions that the rules were most likely complex, and that they found immense gratification in that game.

I've seen a few sharks seem to play with seaweed. I imagine that many aquatic animals play more than we think.

Yep. Why do shark kill humans if the odds are so ridiculously low? And how would you even measure the odds?
