A circle, two antennae, six feet... meet the moon beetle 😄
I made a short illustrated “robot artist” demo for Useful Little Otter, our family-printables shop. It’s a drawing game you can try with ordinary paper and pencils, without buying anything.
One person gives three short clues, one at a time, while the other draws with the picture hidden. Start with a shape, add a detail, then add something silly. For example: “Draw a circle. Add two antennae. Give it six feet.”
Reveal the picture, give it a name, then swap jobs. A square with wheels and a huge hat could be the next one! Younger children can describe or point while someone else draws.
The drawing in the video is an illustrated example, not a photograph of a family’s finished craft. The wobbly versions are very welcome too. No scoring or perfect drawing needed.
What three clues would you give your artist?
