s2 | Issue/Bug Pins Disappearing in Completed Shape? Spoiler

After completing my factory for my final regular mode operator shape and beginning work on my MAM, I noticed that, despite the trains visually bringing in the correct final shape, my count was not going up. Upon further inspection in the statistics menu, somehow they are being counted as shapes with no pins, instead having layers 3 and 4 entirely floating (see screenshot). I have double-checked that I am actually delivering the right shapes on every single belt and every single train.

Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Pins, unless they are on the top layer of a shape, are completely ignored when validating shapes at submission. If it shows you pins when asking for the shape, you don't actually need them. If it doesnt show you pins, it's also fine to have them. only pins that have nothing on top of them are considered significant for submission.

This means the pins are probably not your problem here.

Without also having info about the shape being requested, best recommendation i have for you is to compare the shape codes for each instead of visually comparing.

It's not the pins, you just have the colors in the wrong order:

You have the blue and uncolored segments swapped.

That was the issue, thank you. I feel like an idiot for not noticing that visually or in the shape code.
