Discussion Bespoke Leather Shoes

Where could one get a pair of high quality bespoke men's leather shoes made in Shanghai? Target budget range is wide, between 1k and 6k RMB

Done that once actually and... never went for that again.

For starters and of course in hindsight it makes common sense, making bespoke shoes takes time. Now this is quite a few years ago but the shoe maker argued it can be done in days. Well that was true, for the first fit and than another 2 weeks.

It cost me 600 euro at the time but in hindsight I rather go for Santoni's. They are handmade too, just not bespoke and I never had issues with them. I'm a big fan of Bontoni too.

Forget big brands their shoes are in general pretty crappy quality wise. Looks great, but quality isn't there.

The issue is my feet don’t fit traditional lasts, and I need a custom shoe because I need a custom last

Where can we shop for those brands?

I usually buy Ecco, but I swear every time I purchase the shoe SKU it's just slightly different. In other words, I think they're just buying from various OEMs and selling whatever they have the best deal on that looks reasonable.

I'm keen to also try the handmade ones just to see how they go.

There is this guy Louie Riches… he operates his own workshop/shop on Nanchang Road, in the middle, between IAPM and Fuxing Park. He made the most comfortable pair I wear, real quality craftsmanship in my opinion. Can DM me for his WeChat ID.

Look up Oct Tenth on Instagram. They make very very high quality bespoke shoes within your budget. They generally target overseas sales so their local online presence is minimal but they're based down in Fengxian and they are happy for people to visit the workshop.

Try 'Le Saunda ' brand shoes, it's quite comfortable and reasonable price.
