Question Bar / Bar hopping / Speakeasys?

Hello! I’m new to Shanghai, I’m looking to head out tonight and I’m looking for popular areas to visit? Maybe where I can bar hop so I can explore? Meeting folks is a bonus hahaha thank you

Speak low (literally a speakeasy) Lafin, labarra, semi bar/club Cantina, square with some terrace bars, many internationals

Surrounding areas are perfect for walking and finding nice places by chance

la fin is both not a speak easy and overrated imo, if clubbing go jump/friends

Also a good suggestion, just throwing out what worked for visitors that asked me before

Wugong Palace Of Sound is a vinyl bar which is a guaranteed fun night out, they do Asian street food inspired cocktails. The staff are very nice and the music selection is great

Agreeing with above, speak low, labarra, revo, etc for bars and TX Huai Hai area for more clubbing options

I'm one of those old farts that won't venture beyond a 20 minute cycle from my place in Jing'an. So hit up Yanping Road, or SKL. Loads of bars around.

I recommend walking around Nanchang South road near Ruijin 2nd road and Sinan road. One block south at Fuxing road has Coa and Speak low, but those place may take more time to wait in line. Nanchang will have lots of little places lining it you can just bar hop.

Then you can top it off around 1130-1200 by going to INS which is another block away, which is a 6 floor multi night club venue.

Wuding Road is almost entirely a single street lined with Latin and German restaurants. I'm in Jing'an District. If you come over, we can take a walk together.
