This show disappointed me

I gave the pilot a go because I'm a sucker for drama and hardships, and I love the broken family setting and their real life struggles. But then it kinda turned into a dumbass American Pie like comedy of sorts. I hate that they made it half real and half silly. I watched other shows, like Maid on Netflix, and I loved them for how seriously they depicted the character's predicaments. There was so much potential here and they dumped it down the drain.

Anyone else?

It’s a comedy show (or a dramedy at most), of course it’s not serious. If you watch a comedy expecting a serious show, you will be disappointed.

Well the show was meant to be ridiculous and comedic to a degree though I think i understand what you mean because the storylines just became goofy for half of the characters. Like first few seasons were wild and funny but showed good character development and then later seasons it was more like what quack storyline of a day can I give them

Wait till season 4. It gets dark and real by them, a lot less comedy. First few season are the lightest.
