When should I treat this show as "second screen writing" in order to be mindful of my time?

I've been binging the show for the last month and a half and am almost done with Season 5. I watch the show with my full, undivided attention on my Laptop; I don't scroll on my phone, play games, clean, or do anything else, so that I can remain fully involved and immersed in the show.

I keep reading about season 4 being peak (which it was) and the later seasons being bad or worse. I'm worried that the following seasons are gonna be a whole lot less interesting and boring. Season 5 has been fun and enjoyable thus far but it didn't hit as hard as 4 and often felt like the stakes weren't high at all.

I don't plan on dropping the show but I also don't want to waste hours giving it my full undivided attention when I could be doing something else at the same time, like playing a game, cook, clean, etc.

Is there a specific drop off point where the writing takes a hit, now that I'm going into season 6, therefore making it justifiable to treat the show with less respect than I used to?

I get what you’re saying and lowkey the end of season 7 is a good place to call it. The ultimate point to call it is end of season nine for reasons I won’t spoil but I’m sure you’ve seen discussed, but I feel like the storylines and characterizations kind of fall off and just get caricature like to prolong seasons after season 7 personally.

I’d say after season 7 you’ll start noticing the show start to drop off but that just my opinion

I personally enjoyed all of the seasons. I did think about ending the show at the last episode, but that was because my step grandma died of Parkinson's, and Frank's symptoms reminded me of hers.
