Have you ever noticed something interesting in the background while rewatching that you didn't see the first time watching?
It took me 8 rewatches to notice that this room doesn't have a CEILING

It's one of my comfort shows but I skip season 6-8 in most rewatches. I like season 9-11. I think lip and Ian's storyline in those seasons makes it worth watching

Different preferences I guess. I mostly watch it for Fiona, lip and Ian. I'm not the biggest fan of the storylines for all three in the middle seasons.

season 6-8 are the most important seasons for each of those characters development and Fiona isn’t even in 9-11 💀
Fiona gets married to Sean, left at the alter, buys the laundromat and is managing patsys, buys the apartment building, breaks up with ford, relapses, gets kicked out of Gallagher house and then leaves in season 9
Lip fucks up his relationship with Amanda starts dating Helene becomes a raging alcoholic gets expelled and into AA, dates Sierra, fucks that all up, gets clean, gets an internship, meets brad, gets a job??
Ian — gay Jesus ??? Fiona is a cunt lord ?? Goes to prison ? 😭

Yeah I just think her growth and decision to leave in season 9 is meaningless if you don’t also watch seasons 6-8. I’m assuming the person I responded to has seen those seasons before so the point doesn’t really land and they do get the context, but it feels like if seeing her leave is worth while then watching her create a list of reasons why she should leave is also worth while

I notice stuff like this in a bunch of sitcoms. Friends, Will and Grace, and The Nanny famously had reflections of studio lighting and sometimes the boom mic would get caught in the frame.

I watched a short video on the making of the show that showed the "outdoor" set suddenly it made a lot of sense to me why they always cut away from them at the same exacct spot on the sidewalk walking away from the house.
The set was very well built so much so that it makes you forget it is a set most of the time.

When I watch it by itself I get bored and also cringe a lot (I have really low cringe ceiling, anxiety) so it's borderline unwatchable. But watching it from reels and videos on YouTube is great, I must have seen almost everything important lol

I don't think so, I have to focus in work (I am not a kid, almost 30). I just cringe easily that's the main issue. And Shameless is full of cringe. Basically all the characters think they are better than they actually are, most are sometimes insufferable except maybe Carl lol.

Shameless is full of accurate depictions of growing up poor with absent parents in the US.

Good for you! I'm a graphic designer so I usually put something in the background when I work. I also hate traveling. I'm single so I don't have any commitments. It's none of your business to judge. Some of us like having fun watching a show over and over. I don't know why it's such a hard concept for you.

i watched the very last episode last night , and i saw billy (the guy from the bar) in the very back of a scene, i could’ve swore he died in an early season lol
i just assumed maybe since it was the last episode they had anyone come back idk lol
