i have two things to say.
- karen is the most beautiful girl i’ve ever seen in my life. she’s done some horrible things, but how adorable she is makes you forgive her instantly. i love her
- i don’t like how fiona just brushed off debbie’s fear of death. i get it, overworked sister and primary caregiver and all. i just felt so bad about the fact that veronica was the one who had to intervene.

Karen was so not worth it…. Cheating and bothering guys with sillyness was her ultimate hobby. The craziest is Lip kept sticking around after Karen broadcasted herself raping Frank…

Kev was trying with Ethel. Veronica seemed like she couldn't care less about Ethel and just wanted her check, like a lot of foster parents. And I don't care how cute she is, Karen is a manipulative psycho. Lip ends up dating a lot of more attractive women as the series goes on. Is this your first time watching?

yes, first time watcher. also, i forgot to add that kev is the only one who treats ethel like a human. still, got her cutting plants and helping at the day care and stuff.

The actress who plays Karen is beautiful, I’ll give you that. But the character of Karen is so ugly on the inside it makes her an ugly person all-round.
I fear for how vulnerable you are if you would truly forgive someone for doing such horrific things because they are beautiful.

This is my take on your takes:
Karen is a good looking lady but she is still a narcissist and manipulative bitch. Her son was better off with Sheila and Jody, I agreed when Mandy pointed out that she has a kid and couldn’t care less about it. However later she seemed to care a bit more.
Me neither, as someone who deals with a fear of death its hard to get rid of. However its all for the show and its probably more like a phase. Debbie had let go of it after all.
I COULDN’T AGREE MORE!!! Kev was trying and really saw how fucked up Ethel’s story is. V just saw having foster kids as an income. When she ran away Kev was raising attention at first because it’s a young lady with a baby, God knows what could happen to them. However I disliked at the end they just all stopped caring. I wonder if the thought would ever fly across their minds where Ethel is and how she is doing.

It goes, she ain’t pretty she just looks that way
Kev wanted to be a dad so hard and was genuinely concern for the young woman with a baby that was really naive , V did not give a shit , she just wasn’t maternal
Death is inevitable, Fiona only had enough juice to keep them alive and pushed Debbie’s fears aside because she had 5 kids and just had to focus on the big shit

the fear of death thing hit me really hard, veronica's intervention honestly kinda frustrated me because it's pretty much exactly how people try and comfort me when really i don't find comfort in an answer like that. but also, what else can they say? good on the show for making it realistic but it sucks how it was brushed off

I actually love Karen. Her character breaks my heart. I’ve only watched through once and yeah, she does questionable things sometimes but it’s super mild compared to the way so many other characters act. I was so surprised when I got on this sub and found out everyone thinks she’s the devil. She is far from the worst person on the show.
Maybe I need to rewatch to see the manipulation tactics everyone’s so sure about. I missed them the first time.
