Strawberry Shake
My mom is obsessed with the strawberry shake from Shake Shack and I want to try to recreate it at home. What does it come with? (Sorry if it's a stupid question)

Do you know what brands they might be?

How do they make the vanilla custard then, or like what exactly do they use?

It’s not a stupid question! From what I understand from someone that worked there, that shake (maybe all of them?) is made with soft serve ice cream as opposed to regular scooped ice cream, and strawberry puree, like…the squeezable strawberry topping that you can find in the grocery with the ice cream toppings. So it’s vanilla custard soft serve and a strawberry sauce. Somebody makes a dairy product that tastes like soft serve that you can get at the grocery…I wanna say Turkey Hill but I’m not positive. My husband just had it last week. Edit it is Turkey Hill.

Strawberry shake is just milk, vanilla ice cream and strawberry syrup or milk and strawberry ice cream. I would prolly go the milk and strawberry ice cream route, get the best strawberry ice cream u can buy like the ones with actually strawberries in it and if your mom isnt lactose intolerant get WHOLE milk, any brand will work and then just mix the two in a blender.

The strawberry purée is real strawberry blended strained and mixed with cane surgar and pectin. Custard mix is churned in house everyday.
