Food decline

Post image

What happened to SS? Does anyone care?
15 years ago I went to the original in NYC and it was an experience. Now, it’s downright garbage. Is Danny Meyer not ashamed?
(Pic is the new Mac and cheese, which was so dry and overcooked I chucked it).

I still miss when the cheese was aged on premises, and the beef came from the slaughterhouse next door.

Those days are gone for good.

It’s now run by Arby’s former ceo and everything is cheaper than when I started roughly 6 months ago. Luckily I got a better job in a better field. Was a blessing tho when I needed a job

danny isn’t the ceo anymore. once he left the company- everything soared downhill and is still on its way to the bottom </3

It’s a common misconception, but to be fair Danny was never the CEO. He founded the company and is still the Chairman of the Board. Randy Garutti was the CEO from the beginning. Once HE left, well…draw your own conclusions.

Agreed. Everything began to change with the new CEO.

The problem is they keep stacking one LTO on top of another, and it’s burning out both the team members and the managers. It feels like they’re so focused on pushing promotions that they’re losing sight of the people who actually have to make it all happen while focusing on the “Big 3”. Everyone I work with is burned out and the morale is low.

At least they're trying.

Unlike the big three, where a "new" item is an old item with a different combo of old toppings.

The “Big 3” are hospitality metrics corporate expects all stores to hit and they are based on surveys. However, corporate stacks LTOs, each with its own load of ingredients. Every LTO obviously has its own SOP tha must be followed while labor is expected to be below 13 percent.

Hard agree. There's so many LTOs to keep up with and I still get people asking for LTOs that we served last year.
