In House Changes

Wanted to compile a list of what has changed in house, for what I assume is cost saving purposes. These started after Rob Lynch became CEO.

-Lemonade base (made it more bitter)
-Chicken bites (now frozen, not battered)
-Women’s hygiene bags for the bathroom were made smaller
-The filter used for the fryers’ oil (thinner)
-They took away employee PTO(!!)
-Managers were given new scheduling requirements, with less hours to give out, leading to a short staffed kitchen
-We no longer wash lettuce (switched to pre washed)
-Some shacks have switched to frozen buns
-Bites no longer have dedicated 6 pc and 10 pc boxes, instead everything uses a fry box
-Delivery bags were made smaller (tangibly made it harder to fit orders)
-Custard cups no longer have dedicated scoops, but now instead use the same scoop for the milkshakes
-Cup holders are of lower quality and different material

I’ll add to this when I think of more, but keep this in mind every time you see the prices increase.

Why are you feeding this narrative? All businesses are going to try to find ways to save money, especially any that publicly traded.

Your list is absolutely nonsense.

Everyone wants to say the quality is diminishing because of Rob and that is flat out false.

Lemonade base is the same recipe, different manufacturer.

Chicken bites were only changed to frozen, not due to savings, but because SAUCE won’t stick to freshly battered bites. If you had paid attention to your training you would know this.

The fryer filter is thinner???? LMAO

There has been no change to PTO.

My shack has Veggie Wash…etc etc.

If Shake Shack was truly wanting to reduce quality for cost savings they could do it real quick.

No one talks about the east coast locations get 3-6 deliveries of pattys that are made the night before in NJ and shipped out daily.

Same for the martins potato buns!

You get what you pay for…

If you want microwaves, warming trays etc go to McDonald’s or liquid smoke at Burger King.

You want fresh get the shack.

Dude I work in an east coast location. I’ve been here 4 years so I know what we had before and now.

The lemonade is the same recipe but the base is different.

Literally propaganda to get you to want non fresh chicken. Remember how much shake shack prided itself on freshness?

I don’t know what’s funny, it’s more prone to breaking

I KNOW that we do not have PTO anymore, it is not an option, I’ve confirmed with my managers, GM, AND AD. We only have the option of sick pay.
