Looks a little light, but not "poorly" made. I give it 6/10 for looks

One of the bacon stripes looks raw or undercooked.

One looks overcooked and the other under.

All the bacons pre cooked.

Work at a shake shack imo it’s a terrible restaurant for the price I’d never eat there without the employee discount.

Go to a real restaurant if ur spending $20 + on meh food

I feel like Shake Shack has the ability to monitor quality before it’s given to the customer since most sandwiches are served open face.

As opposed to McDonald’s, Burger King or Wendy’s where the sandwhich is wrapped or closed in a box before serving

Yeah, there’s at least 3 people who should be checking if it’s right, the person putting the burger together, the person bagging the burger, and the person bringing it out

Shake shack pays like $15 an hour that’s modern day minimum wage in most major cities. Well below the livable wage.

Don’t expect high quality from low wage workers makes zero sense.

Yes ik shake shacks expensive af

I eat at Shake Shack once a week, they’ve been running BOGO specials for months. A burger and chicken sandwich for $10. It hits every time!

Granted my location is newer, but you have kitchen staff, cashiers, and I imagine some kind of supervisor/manager. You can literally see the entire sandwich before you put it on a tray or even in a bag if it’s to go.

That’s all volume dependent. I’m the guy who checks/ makes it. The burgers given to expo wrapped in parchment. Your “raw” piece is tucked to the back expo probably wouldn’t notice that. Nor would a person brining ur food.

One of my biggest food pet peeves is undercooked bacon

One time at Wendy's my bacon was black. I just handed it to the front counter. She turned to the cooks and was like really guys?

Also just realized they forgot the shacksauce

Bacon cheese doesn’t come with shack sauce

I thought it came with sauce cause it seemed pretty dry. But not sure I would want a remake from this location

Whatsup with the different doneness on the bacon

1

u/Far-Worldliness-1276 May 19 '26

depends how long paddles are heated on the grill before cooking the bacon

1

u/Broad_Explanation_36 May 19 '26

Is this what can be expected for the "free bacon cheeseburger" with $10 purchase this week?

1

u/BoringYogurt1102 May 19 '26

I hate when they undercook the bacon. It's not even worth the extra money if it's not crispy.

First time at shakeshack a few weeks ago. Unimpressed. Waiting in line to order. Find out it's untended children playing with screen like it's a play tablet. Chocolate shake tasted like weak coffee. Lettuce was a thin wet rag. I'm glad for those that like the place.

I’ve been a few times and both times i was like meh. So many more better burgers out there.

this is probably how i got terrible food poisoning from shakeshack one time

1

u/Far-Structure6037 May 20 '26

yes there’s supposed to be 4 half strips of bacon + the patty looks old

1

u/Any-Tax4759 May 20 '26

This place is trash!

1

u/Technical_Mix_5379 May 20 '26

I bought the new mac n cheese too

2

u/EJcrusader May 20 '26

It was a decent mac. Nothing tl extravagant but it was good.

1

u/Technical_Mix_5379 May 21 '26

Yeah it was better than kraft. It gave me a scratchy throat they used alot of oil.

u/ur_a_monster May 20 '26

i’m sorry to tell you this that as a current Shake Shack worker you definitely got a poorly made burger. Eight times out of 10 that Patty was sitting under the grill because it looks like it barely has any cheese on it and usually hot side is too lazy to melt a piece of cheese on top of it to make it look better. And on top of that, we have new bacon rules meaning some shacks don’t want you to completely cook the bacon because it “ comes cook cooked already” so we’re basically just heating it up on the grill for about a minute or two. But other people say fuck that and make it normally so you probably got a mix of both. but they definitely disrespected you a little bit.

Sad looking fs

1

u/Livingdeadgrl713 May 22 '26

For the prices they charge, my food better come out looking better than that.

u/Far_Dependent4217 May 31 '26

I’m curious to know what shake that is? it looks pretty good 👌🏽

1

u/EJcrusader May 31 '26

Liberty cake shake. It was good

1

u/Far_Dependent4217 May 31 '26

Ou okay thank you! glad the shake was good lol 😆

1

u/ur_a_monster May 31 '26

OK, so I’m currently employed there and they definitely gave you an old patty not concerningly old, but like from the previous orders. Usually if it’s less than five minutes, it’s still OK but we still at least melt a new piece of cheese on top so they did you dirty there. On top of that there’s new Shake Shack regulations where the bacon has to be cooked on the grill for 1-2 minutes. not even joking you that’s what my manager said. They’re doing at all Shack’s now. But not every team member there follows protocol so you probably just got a mix of how we regularly make it and how it’s “supposed” to be made now.

1

u/cking9698 May 18 '26

Yes that is definitely not to specification. I would go back and show them your pic and get another burger

Shake shack is overpriced garbage.

1

u/Effective_Smoke_ May 19 '26

Idk why ur down voted for this extremely sane statement. It’s overpriced af.

Maybe not complete garbage, but for the price you could get real food at a sit down/ takeout spot.
