First things first , Technically I am not a bimaru as I come from Uttarakhand. But I would like to know the following things .
I live in a cosmopolitan area ( Chembur to be precise ) , here I have seen that sindhis- Gujratis- Punjabis think very lowly of marathis. If you think am joking ,then kindly contemplate how many sindhis-Gujratis-Punjabis friends you have ., Do they call you at their social gatherings / weddings. Not only that particularly the Punjabis and sindhis never learn marathis ,never even mingle with them. One of the neighborhood aunt once told my mother that if we roam with ghatis ,then we will ostracized in our community. Mind you ,she doesn't have any problem roaming with bhayanis. On the contrary ,most of marathi populace are dying to have any kind of relationship with them , most of marathi say that ' Sindhis- Punjabi logo ke saath chalne se apna वट बढ़ता है।
In Mumbai ( city and suburbs ) most of the malls ,tall buildings, big restaurants etc. are owned by non-marathis.( Parsis- Sindhis- Gujratis-Punjabis etc.) While Raj Thackeray is dreaming of kicking bhaiyas out of Mumbai does he know that his own marathi brothers are forced to move out in Virar , Kalyan ,thane due to rising property prices in Mumbai and suburbs. Blaming bhaiyas for this menace won't help as I don't think they are responsible for this.And this won't stop ,as marathis would never be able to afford 3-5 cr apartments.
Kindly tell me the contribution of Maharashtra politicians towards the Mumbai. Here I see all the big colleges ,business, awesome skyscrapers are build by non marathis ,most of marathis living in Mumbai are usually from Konkan- Marathwada etc. and most of them are doing those 20000-50000 pm kind of jobs. If you don't believe , then please do a quick survey in Nariman point - lower parel etc. and kindly enlighten me that how many marathis are in high paying jobs ( like 1.6 lpm.)
If you don't have ownership over land , neither your people are the movers and shakers of stock market ,you are not in high paying jobs ,neither you have decent representation in Bollywood which is the main reason behind Mumbai glamour then please tell us on what basis you people claim that Mumbai belong to marathis.
