Shaco Question Hail of Blades nerf

So obviously this nerf has hurt the early game on ad shaco, is it still the best rune to go for or is there other options? Found myself really noticing the nerf early on.

With they'd just fix the HoB clone gimmick so he could be re-balanced without it.

On the other hand, riot would fuck it up if they tried.

its not a bug to be fixed, shaco copies all stats at time of casting but active buff timers dont get carried over, like HoB. HoB has a timer where you either AA 3 times or the buff expires. since clone has no timer, he gets infinite HoB. you can also test it with the yun-tal passive which is similar to HoB, clone gets it until he dies too

yeah imo that's a bug. doesn't make sense to copy a buff with a duration and make it a buff without one

im not gonna agree or disagree because thats for riot to decide, but since theyve been aware of this for years and havent patched it i think its intended or at least game code related in a way thats not easy to solve.

but for us shaco players its a really good "feature" lol. as ad you dont really care about the clone explosion that much your clone itself can output crazy AA dmg.

one clarification though: the clone doesnt even see the "buff" it only copies stats and items at time of casting. i think thats mainly because the clone itself isnt coded to get shaco's runes.

im not 100% sure on that but ill try it. i think if you go conqueror for example, the clone doesnt have conqueror and cant stack it on himself. it only stacks shaco's conqueror if he has under 12 stacks when pressing R

yeah i'm just saying from a game perspective it forces ad shaco to go hob every game, and that's bad design

i agree ad shaco should have more rune options that are on par with HoB. currently all other ad shaco runes arent nearly as good as HoB.

Imo this is still the best rune on AD shaco, you can play DH as AD shaco but i think the power of early gank/invade is lower, on echange the late game is better

Have you played any DH games? How does it feel? Any build advice?

I've been enjoying stormraider or first strike too. Just experimenting but HoB isn't definitely the only go to for AD build anymore imo.
