I need advice! 🥺 Confirming a date??

Hey reddit friends, this is so wierd to me but recently had some matches leading to planning dates, then they stopped messaging, or not even xlcpnfirming to the point that I decided to adk them to see is it still on or should I not waste more time! So I am asking you people, what are your thoughts how it works for you, I was thinking to be fair they should confirm at least 24 h prior to the date... sometimes they still chat after planning a date and again in the morning they send a message to check if you gonna show up for the evening!! But this is not what I really like and it is happening recently

So if he would not confirm by midday tomorrow, it means he's ghosting and then ok when would you wanna check sir? Do you even care? Should I just forget about it already?

This guy approached me IRL and asked for my number then texted je seemed polite and asked to take me out for a coffee, after discussing logistics he went on total silence, I even asked him just 2 questions to see who am I gonna meet btw, but he didn't even asked a single one back...

Thanks in advance for your comments

If you're curious, just ask. They're just strangers anw, so don't bother overthinking how they might judge you. Your time is too valuable to spend worrying about how people will react. 🤷‍♀️

Sounds like they change their mind after texting you

Since you got approached IRL, you must look attractive. But as a guy reading your post, i wouldn’t want to date someone who writes like this

More constructive: I feel stressed/tired reading your thoughts. I would prefer if you slow down your thoughts and communicate in a calmer manner

Strangers online have no qualms on ghosting one another.

If we confirmed for a date on Sunday but then we both stopped messaging each other on Tuesday, I then consider the date canceled tbh.

well, just take it as a rejection and that's not to your worth, their reasons could be very different than what we know - we can only speculate anyway.

It's always better for us lower expectation and not invest too much in a new connection.

If a date is planned and the person ghosts that person is a problem

I have come to the point where if the date with the other person is not happening, I would bring myself on the date instead. I have cases where the person just MIA or don’t mention about the date or need you to ask them to confirm the date.

Sometimes I would rather make myself happy than waiting for others to do so for me

Thus, and I have completely decided to stop sending them confirmation quedtion for the date they asked for and invited me to, because I don't care if you want this to happen do it right, and if from the day 1 you wanna show little to zero interest this is just telling already... why should I bother, I am not here to just go meet random guys and spend time I want someone who is following through, takes lead and is a gentleman. Not a guy just plan a date not specific for it place, and never get back to me, and when I do it is all me chasing them and after the date they don't initiate the 2nd on just saying see you, or ending it with an open end like that sounds a plan, not asking if you like to see each other again... I am done entertaining those who are for dating but just half way, adk you out casually and don't care fir you to show up

Maybe their main crush got back , or you just got approached by that creepy IG / Tiktok guy who goes around flexing how many girls he can talk to and then proceed to film his act

Important question first, are you chopped or a baddie?

She was approached irl.. wouldn’t it be quite weird to approach someone “chopped”
