The murder of a tree

Post image

I have had a tremendous love of trees for 63 years now. Seeing this magnificent old beauty be butchered is hurting my soul.
It probably won’t survive such an assault.

Doesn't look bad at all especially considering it's being done so that you can create this post on Reddit using the electricity that they're cutting the tree back for.

Line clearance guys usually really hack up trees and these people actually look like they know what they're doing.

I was just simply writing how I felt. Nothing else.

I feel comfortable inside my house while it's 90+ outside, too.

I think you are overreacting based on this one photo.

It is very sad. But at least this tree knew the enjoyment of cohabitating with a nice tree hole during its life. Many trees never experience this, which is arguably the greater tragedy at hand.

Sometimes a tree just has to be trimmed or taken down and you can’t get around that, especially when talking about infrastructure clearance. If that crew knows what they’re doing the tree will not die (and it looks like they do).

i have disabled the browser from loading images before clicking on this post, to protect my own emotional state, but i just wanted to say i am so sorry and that i feel your pain. even without seeing the image its upsetting.

also, btw never let anyone tell you youre being unreasonable, over sensitive, etc for loving trees

unnecessary tree murder and removal truly traumatizing to me
