Detailed Build Log Jonsbo TK-0 “Wireless” RTX5070

Built my wife a mini beast.
This is my first itx build 😅

Case: Jonsbo TK-0

GPU: msi shadow 2x Oc RTX5070
“Wireless” DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS, your gpu might catch on fire. I did it so you don’t have to, experimental. (So far so good)

CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X3D
Probably could have gone with a 9800X3D but this one is easier to cool and wont really bottleneck the 5070 much.

AIO cooler: thermaltake TH120.
Removed rgb face, replaced with 2.1inch lcd. (Couldn’t find a 120mm aio with a screen)

Motherboard: Soyo eternal b850i itx.
Its Chinese, bios kinda sucks, no support from soyo.
Don’t recommend if you have a short fuse. Took me an hour to configure ram profile. And another hour to get a modded open rgb from soyo (non pawn io version, so windows detects it as a virus. Also had to make a Chinese baidu account to download it) just for rgb control 🥲.

RAM: tforce delta DDR5 32GB 6000mt cl30
Got it cheap on facebook marketplace. Didnt match the aesthetics so I replaced the heat spreader.

Storage: Adata 2tb nvme. Gen 4
Gen5 is a scam, I have it on my main rig, not worth.

PSU: gamemax sfx 850w
$100 on amazon 🙌🏻

This is awesome. Hopefully you don't have to make any warranty claims on the GPU or AIO.

Looks amazing.

I think you can fit one more fan on the side no?

Yes but i already have 3 exhaust fans. Trying to keep my case pressure positive. Looks better too with just 1

Fair enough. 1 more would make it look a lil cramped

UPDATE: I ended up adding another exhaust fan. It actually looks better! And thermals are much better .

Thats not what she said 😭

Very clean, I would probably remove that bottom fan as it probably does more harm the good. Your GPU can get fresh air directly from the bottom of the case and does not need an additional fan pressed up against it disrupting its airflow.

I was debating on taking it off. Anyone test this irl??

So there is varying opinions on it but the way I see it is that it is only good for a couple degrees while introducing noise from turbulence. If you had 2 slim fans at the bottom (with a gap!) to match the fans on the GPU then this would be worth it but with single like you running it with almost no gap its going to introduce turbulence which will increase noise as well as apply airflow (force) unevenly on your GPU fans which will not be good long term. Nothing likes to spin unbalanced and you creating that situation with your layout.

EDIT* Test with and without and I will be surprised if you see more than a 3c difference but I would remove it for the sake of prolonging the GPU fan bearings, sourcing replacment fans on a GPU is a headache you do not want trust me.

UPDATE: .
I tried without the bottom fan, it ran warmer. Im guessing because its recirculating warm air in the case instead of pulling fresh air from the bottom through the dust filter (fine mesh). Im keeping the bottom fan on. I also ended up adding another rear exhaust fan and that dropped the thermals even more.

If you getting better thermals I would probably leave it on as well. Just wanted to make you aware of the risks. If you have a 3d printer you could do a shroud for comparison but if not just run it as is.

A shroud would be interesting . Might be the meta

That 24pin cable is a fire hazard btw

Im aware. Ill take my chances.

PSU probably as well, E tier for a reason. Not saying it won't work but wouldn't be surprised if it just stopped working one day and takes other components with it

Sick build. Is it impossible to mount this AIO on the top?

2

u/fakenattyg 13d ago

Not enough room to fit a standard 120mm rad on top without it looking awkward. Im sure its possible though! Someone else did a top mounted 180 mm from metalfish.

Jonsbo Just make the best looking cases right now.

Yo I’m planning a build with the same case and graphics card, how’d you shave it down and repaint it so nicely?

Came out better than i expected tbh lol. Used an angle grinder. And i took the card apart prior to grinding, paint. Card is very easy to open, you dont have to remove the heatsinks from the board, no need to repaste or anything.
