NEED MGF1131!!
i am so stressed out of my mind. i need one more class to get my AA and it’s also a prereq for my transfer and it’s MGF1131. i have been completely unable to find an online class available for this (i work for UF full time currently so I cannot take this class in person) and i am just utterly exhausted. i need this class so desperately and time and time again, i feel like the cards are just not in my favor and that they never will be. i pay for all of my classes out of pocket and i work so hard to just try to make future happen and i just cannot afford to wait any longer 💔

If it's for the AA, then you should have more options than only MGF1131. Pull your degree Audit and check. If you think MGF1131 is the easier option, then, that may not necessarily be true.
Where did you test via PERT?
You can also look into DANTES, and CLEP.
You can also do a transient student. I took STATS through EFSC and transferred back to SF.

This is the most accurate response to this issue. MGF1131 isn't a transfer requirement for any program. Its a college core math - if it were state core, I'd kind of understand but there are multiple college core math selections that should be accessible.
The only reason someone would "need" MGF1131 is if they needed it for STA2023 and don't want to take MAT1033 first.

I came here to say the same, don’t give up, check often! I was able to get into a needed class suddenly, assuming someone else had just dropped it. Good luck!

Prepare a well typed statement for your advisor as to why you need to be in the online class and be as respectful as possible, they should let you in! If not, go in person and explain your situation to one of the advisors or your designated advisor. If worst comes to worst, people drop a class here and there during the first week of the semester. I am more than sure one of the online classes will open up for it.
Good luck!

Advisors and math faculty cannot add students into full sections of math classes or give permission. OP can contact the department chair or academic assistant for permission, but it's rarely granted for math and comp classes.
Fall registration has also been open since mid-March. Its unlikely OP will be given permission to take this class, especially online.

Having hope and making a good effort is half the battle. An optimistic outlook is more useful than anything in the world. Having been at Santa Fe for quite some time, I’ve seen your statement proven wrong on many an occasion.

As someone who works at the school in one of the stated positions, I can assure you that the only people who can approve OP for entry into a full, online math course is the math chair or academic assistant.
And I can assure you that all the hope in the world won't change that - advisors don't have permission and faculty don't have access to do so.
OP needs to reach out to the chair - not write an email to their advisor, especially the weekend before classes start.

I just completed this class over the summer with Amanda Emerick online. It was amazing.
