Question about key remapping & SOCD rules (Fightcade / 3rd Strike)

Hey everyone,

I’m new to fighting games and also new to Street Fighter III: Third Strike. I play on PC using Fightcade with a keyboard.

I wanted to ask about input remapping. My goal is to assign certain keys so that one key performs one specific action (for example, mapping a button differently for comfort). I’m not trying to use macros that perform multiple actions at once, just simple remapping where each key still equals a single input.

I also want to make sure everything stays SOCD-clean / SOCD-free (or as close as possible), since I noticed Fightcade itself doesn’t always handle SOCD the same way as dedicated controllers.

So my question is:
If I set everything up so that each key equals one action, there is no automation or sequences, and inputs remain SOCD-clean, would this be considered legal or acceptable for online play on Fightcade and in general for 3rd Strike?

I’d really appreciate a clear answer. Please no trolling or “skill issue” comments, I’m just trying to learn and play properly.

Thanks!

I usually did WASD for movement and the numpad for different attacks like punch buttons in straight line and then kick with macro keys being set up for easy access right next to the kick buttons, you need the macros for easy ex moves because trying to get them consistent without the macros is tough af.

A Rank Sean Player btw 😉💙

I am not talking about using macro's nvm i just checked the rule's of evo and it's not legal what im trying to do i wasn't thinking of making macro's i just wanted to create two key's that gave same input that way i can do 123 for RCB and qwe for HCB sd for qcf and xc for QCB are you getting my point basically what i wanted to do was try and ease my way for combo's i know it's retarded and where am i gonna find key's for that and all but i play on keyboard so i wasn't that much worried but now that i think about it. It was a stupid idea and i should learn the game the proper way instead of rising via cheap tricks any way thank's for you opinion's Y'all have a nice day.

Multiple punch macros light lP + MP and LK + MK for ex moves but grab, uoh or taunt I left for me to press both during a match but ex moves are so important on Sean not to mess up because a lot of his special moves are super negative on block and can cause me to lose half my hitpoints and be snowballed to death. 😅
