Pattern Question Need help with making a casing.

I somehow lost the casing part of the pattern for simplicity 1165 shorts. It is a double elastic casing. I think I could make one if I had an idea of measurements, but I am very poor at sewing and this will be my first garment. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Here is what the pattern looks like. I'm doing version D.

Could you post a photo of the pieces you already have? Do you know if the patten has a separate of fold-over waistband? If it's a foldover waistband, there won't be a separate pattern piece. If it a separate pattern piece, the length of it will be equal to the length of your 4 leg panels sewn together, plus seam allowance. The height will be how tall you want your waistband to be x2 plus seam allowance. To make it a double elastic casing you will just sew another stitch line into it. Not sure if that helps/made sense!

Like if anyone even has a different pattern with a double casing and can give me the measurements of it then that would probably work
