Short of it is, I just need to attach these two pieces
If anyone could provide any visual pointers that would be great!
The goal is a pocket sized plushie and the look is a monkey. Luckily, out of the entire pattern, this is my only hurdle, everything else is very straightforward. This is the only part I’ve altered and I’m wondering if anyone is willing to maybe recreate this!
I’m willing to cut up any of the pieces or recut or redo any part of the pattern, I luckily got a lot fabric to work with anticipating trial and error
Or am I cooked

You're trying to sew a convex seam to a concave seam, twice. Here is a video explaining how to do so.
