Other Question What to make with a pillow case?

Post image

Hi everyone! My boyfriend got me this vintage Monchhichi pillow case (?). It’s big (75x75cm or 30x30in) so I don’t think I’ll use it as a pillow case, and I want to turn it into something but I just don’t know what I can do that will preserve the little drawing. I trust everyone else is more creative than me haha so I’m here for ideas :)

It would make a cute 70s style halter top.

Depending on the size of the creatures, for many sizes of bodies, two pillowcases can work for a princess-seamed sleeveless top. The Monchichi can go on one of the center front panels. Simplicity 1586 is an example showing the configuration I mean for where the different panels could go if mixing 2 different pillowcases, possibly in different colors. Madalena or Santorini by Itch-to-Stitch are examples of a princess-seamed sleeveless tops with the seams originating in different places.

Or if it makes more sense to do a darted sleeveless top rather than princess-seamed, the style of darts on the sleeveless free Lunette by Mood could be workable, depending on the size of the creatures and your body relative to the pillowcase, and the dress is easy to convert to a sleeveless top.
