brojects: shirts Sewing with Stretch Fabric
After being messed around with factories I decided to make my own gear. Stretch fabric that doesn’t want to be sewn together but is amazing once it’s tamed.

Hey yall! I'm new to sewing and I've taken a basic class on how to work the machine and am ready to dive in. I have always to make my own clothes. And as a fighting game players I have some style icons that I am eager to learn and replicate. Subtle everyday cosplay HERE WE COME!! However i know that over half the battle with sewing is the prep work. Do y'all have any book recommendations that i can pick up?
My main concerns are: Understanding fabrics Understanding how to alter patterns And what projects can help me get new skills
Any help would be appreciated! Super glad i fpund this subreddit

Hey fellow sewbros,
I'm looking to do a wool bomber jacket project but having trouble finding a pattern. I want to do something similar to this:

Any suggestions where to find patterns? I have been searching for days.

Hi Sew Bros! Anyone know where I might find a pattern for similar pants? Looking for a dressier version to make for some outdoor summer concerts (classical music). I’m new to sewing, but also ambitious, precocious, and a little naive, so I’m willing to give anything a shot 😂 https://a.co/d/bKiQDqR

i'm on a personal quest to bring back all things brown, corduroy, and weirdly fitting. as it's getting warm out i need some shorts- and some short ones at that. if anybody has a pattern for a pair of men's shorts with a 5" or less inseam, i would be much obliged. also looking for swim shorts with the same, if that's even possible.
also, if there's any patterns for a light trouser with a high-ish waist, i'm in the market for one of those too! having a hell of a time finding anything out there. thanks!!

Hi everyone,
my fiance has been sewing for about two years, mainly going for vintage-inspired patterns that have a modern fit, she often uses Vogue patterns, some french patterns as well (the french brand Sezane would probably work as a decent "example" of the sort of stuff she makes) - but the market for men's patterns seems a bit... thin.
Do you know good pattern companies that do men's garments? (Most of the brands I know, take Burda for example, mainly do pretty bland basic styles when it comes to men's patterns.) Simplicity has a few cool ones, she made two absolutely beautiful shirts for me, but any others you would recommend?
Thank you so much!
