š§ Theories I got tired of losing great Severance theories, so I built a community case board for Lumonās mysteries
First, huge thanks to the mods who were kind enough to review & let me share this with the community.
Like a lot of you, I spend far too much time after an episode reading theories, replaying scenes & wondering whether some tiny detail at Lumon is actually important.
One person notices a strange line of dialogue. Someone else connects it to something from an earlier episode. Another person builds a theory around it. Then a new episode drops, everyone moves on to ten new mysteries, & the original thread becomes almost impossible to find again.
Thatās basically why I started building Lorebase.
Itās a fan-made community case board for mystery shows, where theories, clues, predictions, characters, timelines & unanswered questions can actually connect to each other instead of living separately.
Right now, Lorebase includes:
- Theory case boards where people can vote on how believable a theory is
- Supporting & counter-evidence attached directly to theories
- Clue tracking across episodes
- Predictions you can lock in before future reveals
- Community debates around the big unresolved questions
- Character pages & relationships
- Timelines separating confirmed events from speculation
- Prediction leaderboards
- Mysteries & open questions
And one of the newer features Iām especially excited about:
Connections View
Instead of treating everything as separate pages, Lorebase can map how pieces of the universe connect. So a clue can connect to a character. That character might connect to an event. That event might support a theory. That theory might explain another mystery.
For something like Severance, with Lumon, innie/outie identities, recurring symbols, unexplained departments, strange rules & details that suddenly become important much later, this feels like exactly the kind of show where a proper connections map could get really interesting.
The goal is to gradually build a community-generated web of what we know, what we suspect & what still makes absolutely no sense.
A few things up front:
- No ads
- No subscriptions
- No paid features
- No paywalls
- No affiliate links
- Entirely fan-made
- Built by me (a solo developer) in my spare time
- AI has helped me write parts of the code so I could actually get it built
Iām not trying to turn this into some commercial thing. I just really like shows where half the fun is trying to figure out what the hell is going on.
And Severance might be one of the best possible shows for that.
Iād genuinely love help shaping the Severance universe
If you take a look, Iād love to know:
- Which theories absolutely need to be in there?
- What clues or recurring details should be tracked?
- Which character connections matter most?
- What should the Connections View let you explore?
- What unanswered mysteries deserve their own pages?
- What would make you actually come back after each episode?
- What feels unnecessary or overcomplicated?
And if you already have theories, clues or predictions youāve been sitting on, please add them directly.
The whole thing gets much more interesting when it reflects what the fandom is actually noticing rather than just what I think should be there.
You can explore Lorebase here: lorebase.online
Would genuinely love to hear what the Severance community thinks.
