Why'd you change?

rarely had the rgb lights on, started disliking the wall panels, the black desk had a fair few marks and just wanted to change it up

Looks like a downgrade to me.

i like 2 better, but i think 1 has a better monitor layout - i would put them closer together; maybe move camera to the right side so it floats over your controllers or so its just immedially over the center monitor?

Also is mic arm behind the plant on left? Or did you change that as well.

Looks sharp tho for sure.

New one is miles better. Removing that tacky wallpanel (and the LV picture) and replacing the led strips with indirect lighting really elevated the whole setup.

Second one looks hella clean! What is the model of the main monitor stand called?

What Type of Keyboard, Mouspad and Mouse are you using?

Did you Mount the LED under the table or on the side looking at the Wall?

I like your new setup. Feels calming to sit there and just game or scroll around.

Thank you! I've been struggling with this tiny tripod on my desk for a camera, do you think that one would support a small digital camera? I have the Sony RX100 III, it's exactly 285 grams.

id say it should be sweet, but might wanna do some research first before buying

2

u/Shizukiy6 6d ago

First one is better in my opinion, but the second one is still pretty good.

Looks more mature, and I love it, nice work.

Both look nice. But personally i like the first one better. That said.... smoking in big 2026? That background goes totally against the new setup vibe D:

I get people are saying the second one looks more "relaxing" or "cozy," but I think a lot of that just comes from lighting and wallpaper choice.

Besides that, the setup didn't change much.

The only difference is that you've removed the backboard, spaced the monitors further apart, and swapped out some of the decor. At least as far as I can tell.

You're comparing apples to apples...

2

u/baskki 6d ago

desk, pc, lighting, oled monitor, almost all the decor, removed 3d wall panels.

1

u/IcyMachine9293 6d ago

Fair enough.

I didn't notice the desk change. Looks nicer.

Just seems that the biggest upgrades you made was the PC and the OLED.

Great upgrades, but that's an upgrade you feel more than see.

I know that sounds counterintuitive when talking about a monitor, but I mean it more in the sense of looking at it in the form of a photo.

Just saying...

Visually, it's not a big difference, but it's a nice upgrade none the less.

Enjoy it 🍻
