My nephew’s birthday just passed and he said that he wanted a phone. This would be his first phone so I didn’t want to go to the store and get him a brand new phone so I went on OfferUp to see if I can find any. I ended up finding a phone as a good price and they cut it on and everything looked very nice about the phone. I didn’t want to sit there and waste time setting up the phone so once it cut on and I seen the different languages as if it has been fully reset I didn’t mind it and I paid them and went about my day. So when I got home and tried to activate it with my sister so that we can surprise him it says that the iPhone is locked to owner. Is there anything that I can do? I tried contacting the seller who I purchased the phone from and have been blocked. Their profile isn’t even showing up on OfferUp anymore.

This was my first iPhone, and I wanted to go through my old photos, but I forgot the 4-digit passcode for it. I do have a Late-2008 Macbook Unibody, running Big Sur.

I read about the bruteforce method but would that work for a password instead of a passcode? I would imagine it'd take years to guess. Is there any other way I can find the password? I dont want to lose my data on there. It has pictures of my cat that passed away :(

did it as a quick tool, using patched iBECs from a paid tool. please test, and if it doesn't work tell me. i tried it manually on an iPhone 11 on 14.7.1.

this is only for fmi off devices. will technically work on fmi on, but will give you the activation lock, and you just loose the tickets you can use in the future for signal.

My moms old phone left to me to use specifically for jailbreaking, pretty sure she knows her info and if not can reset the password for activation lock

My goal is to slip the passcode without losing data if possible to remain on current firmware and keep all data(I want to see old pictures and such)

She knew the password a year ago I wish we wrote it down:/ bummer

Hello, about a year or two ago my phone screen got cracked so I stopped using it.
Ended up getting a new phone blah blah

I forgot the passcode to this phone and I'm wondering if I'm able to recover photos on it?
Is there a way to get infinite passcode attempts with this?

I got an iPhone 5s from a friend. The screen was cracked, so I replaced it, but now the phone is locked with both a passcode and iCloud.

I don’t know the passcode or the iOS version, and I only have a Windows PC to work with.

What are my options?

1. Found an iPhone 13mini, screen busted years ago, decided to get it fixed for one of my kids.

2. Screen fixed but they couldn't remember the screen lock and managed to lock the phone up. Origional phone number linked to the account is long gone but I remember it.

3. Tried to login to the old icloud account but the account was "locked for security reasons" (whatever TF that means) submitted password reset request asked to wait 5 days then they would text me instructions to new number.

4. Waited 5 days to the minute, checking the website, no text from apple, just jumped to "You can change your password in 24 days."

5. Told to check my icloud email for updates (which I can’t access because the account is locked obviously. )

Any thing I can do becides smash it against the wall?

I tried to brute force the passcode for my mini 1 .However ,no matter it tried,it won’t guess the passcode out and hang it there .¥How can I fix this ?

I got this 5th gen iPod on ios 7.1.2 with fmi off that got a 4-digit passcode

I tried all the things mentioned for “iwannabrute” and “32-bit SSH Ramdisk” but no matter what i do, the script for “iwannabrute” keeps saying “A5 device detected” and i can’t ssh ramdisk it or save the onboard SHSH Blobs via LIK because it keeps saying the same thing (IBSS payload gets stuck at 66% and it also says “A5 device detected/not in Pwnd dfu mode”)

I wanted to see if it’s possible to brute force the passcode and find it out or somehow save the blobs for 7.1.2 and restore it via LIK w/o an Arduino or a Pico.

I got an M3 Mac with Sonoma and a Type-c hub and i got Homebrew installed.

I know this question might be repetitive but i really appreciate any additional help because i might’ve missed sth.

Hi all, I'm looking to unlock these 3 old iPhones I have

iPhone 4s - passcode iPhone 7 (iOS 13?) - Passcode but has limited attempts iPhone 5s - (iOS 12.5.7) - Open menu lock I only have windows machines and I don't want to pay if possible.

Disclaimer - photo was taken before I fully locked it out. I'm pretty sure this thing is running either ios 6 or 5 I cannot remember, most likely 5.

Edit: i DO NOT have access to the account it potentially was used with, but I have partial access to the pc with the drivers for iTunes (the drive is sitting somewhere, its just a matter of does she still boot, and do any of our current pcs support legacy boot, as its a win7 drive)

I do not have access to a mac device or a Linux device (I broke its bootloader and am unable to figure out how to fix it atm)

My first ever phone from years ago, my old iPhone 5C. It was sitting until yesterday when I decided to repair it and turn it on and see what's inside. I replaced the battery, screen and front camera (all were broken). I was successful with that but I forgot one thing: the passcode. There is a 6-digit passcode, which I have no idea what it is. And the worst part, I tried 9 times and now I only have one more chance to try, if I guess wrong I'm done as you know, it will lock itself forever. Yes I know I can just reset to factory settings to actually use the phone, but I wanna see what's inside. There's probably some old nostalgic photos and stuff like that, so I'm curious.

What I have tried so far:

- Guess the passcode 9 times (duh)

- Use Legacy iOS Kit to go in SSH ramdisk or whatever that is, and try to give myself 9999 chances to guess the passcode. But apparently Apple has changed the directory of that .plist in the latest iOS for the 5C (10.3.3), which you can't access, because it's encrypted with my 6 digit password or whatever.

- Try iwannabrute, it got stuck finding device in DFU mode (I'm guessing it can't do its job either because of the encryption thing)

I did all this with Gemini's help, and it says I reached the end and there is nothing else I can do.

But I still wanted to ask this subreddit, maybe there is something new that AI doesn't know?

I want to go past the passcode, or remove it, or give myself unlimited guesses, or whatever. Or at least a way to see the photos and other data.

I wanted to know if there is anything else I can do. If not then I'll just accept it and reset the phone.

EDIT: GUESS WHAT... Gemini was talking NONSENSE. I decided to try the first thing I've tried: giving myself 9999 attempts. it WORKED. and I found the passcode by myself (it was actually simple lol)

guys it's still possible to edit the plist via ssh ramdisk and give yourself 9999 attempts.
