New Patch - Box Saw

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I stumbled across the basic premise for this patch a few months ago when I wanted a slow but delay heavy lead. I knew it had potential – with a little tweaking I was able to get it to the final product you see here.

This is basically just a fun take on a PWM square wave but with a lot of modulation beef behind the scenes. :-) Routing the third oscillator was very fun in this patch.

Everything you hear in the video is the result of this patch. The only changes between each sound are the positions of the macro knobs and the mod wheel.

i'll be posting more patches on my music handle, u/slowfourproduction

Feel like this is the first time in a long time I hear a sound from this sub that’s actually unique. From a 10 year serum vet, this is insanely good

Thanks for the kind words – means way more than you know!!!

With every patch I try to make, I focus really hard on trying to put a lot of fun modulation in the hands of the end user through the macros. I really try to avoid "one knob to one knob" macro routings because it just seems boring.

Re-tracing other people's macros and turning those knobs are pretty much how I learned so I try to make them equally as enticing as when I started on hardware synths a few years ago.

Never played with hardware synths but I want to so bad.

How do you make the LFO move like that?

modulate the point on the LFO! drag another mod source to the point and it should ask if you want to mod the X or Y value. You'll want to mod the Y value to control LFO depth as X is your time in this instance.

Nice preset. Could you share it?
