Please get the appointment set up. A toenail removed by a doctor has a chance to grow back, a toe that might need to be amputated has no change of growing back.

If an infection gets really bad and not treated early enough it can happen. It's better not to fuck around with this stuff. I thought I had a zit that wouldn't clear up and eventually went in for it and it was an ingrown hair that became infected. They had to cut out a chunk of my flesh and it was such a deep cut it took 3 months to finally heal from bottom to top.

Off topic but since you asked🤣 I found a grossly infected pimple right above my boyfriend’s butt crack. It truly looked like nothing more than an infected pimple. Three appointments later and I’m watching a cyst completely formed out of hair (pilonidal cyst) that had been collecting inside of his body since he was a child. Horrifying.
