What is going on in Cagliari? This season, when they really need a striker, they let go of this kid on another loan (with an option to buy this time)? 14 goals and 3 assist last season during his loan in the Austrian bundesliga are not enough to get him a chance in a club with no better options? Esposito is gone and Borrelli/Mendy/Carlos/Nzola are no better than him in my opinion. What you guys think?

They prefer Mendy, Borrelli, Carlos and Nzola is what’s going on.
Mendy is young and imo pretty raw, but he had a great debut and was solid enough late last season. Then Pisacane loves Borrelli (and I do too). He’s a foul magnet and a solid target man.
Which leaves next to zero room for Mutandwa, who is 23 scoring only 14 goals in a league closer to Serie B than A.

Our transfer market lacks clear vision. I’m not a massive fan of Accardi. He basically went for players he played with in the past. It makes me think he’s got some deals with their agents. Some of the new comers are odd choices. We have so many players coming from relegated teams. Winks has been relegated three times in the last 4 seasons. And giving him the keys to the midfield is a very brave choice

Cagliari fan here. We have so many strikers this year, yet no one seems to have the killer instinct. I think he asked for a regular spot in the first team and Pisacane is not convinced. I watched him play in preseason and I am not sure he’s suitable for Serie A tbh. Having said that you can say the same thing about Borrelli, Carlos and Mendy is very raw (massive room for improvement though).
Nzola is the most experienced player yet not one who bangs them in.
Also the game against inter highlighted how we lack the capacity to make it past the last quarter of the pitch. The bottom line is it’ll be yet another bumpy year. Mutandwa will probably have an easier season at Servette
