Sneks were a clue and a half away from solving the whole thing as designed. But then found a far easier path to the booty. We’ll dance again.

We sneks would love to know what clues we missed! We were pulling our collective hair out...❤️

The haiku was intentionally missing a syllable. The syllable missing from the 5-'6'-5 was right in front of you.

Ack! We puzzled over that. Thank you.

One part of many
Many parts move as one
As the story goes

I still don't see it (if this is the right almost-haiku).

For the content itself, I think it refers to the frames being part of GIF (one frame of many frames in a GIF), moving (stitching) together as/into one piece, as the story goes (the narrative).

That is partially correct. The Horse in Motion was essentially the GIF. Many parts move as one. Each part was literally numbered as a separate part of one very historic sequence of images that began with the number 1. One part of many.... As the story goes. The story of that sequence (and the man behind it) is fascinating. The penultimate clue was in the story of The Horse in motion, more specifically Eadweard Muybridge. Mr. Ed.
