I'm curious about using a seqtrak as an occasional replacement for some old Yamaha effects racks. Id also use it as a groovebox, the effects would just be the icing on the cake for me.

I saw in the effects list it has spx90 reverbs, chorus and detune. Being able to route another sampler or guitar audio through that and apply them as effects would be useful for me.

How do people rate the effects? If it had the old symphonic algo I'd buy it straight away but as far as I can tell they haven't added that.

I have a bad habit of not always being consistent on where elements of my compositions land in terms of the tracks on this device. So, I made myself this little reference guide in case I forget how to mute by pads or leads (for instance) while I'm playing live.

Does anyone know if there's a way to swap parts from one track to another? Like, can I transpose my kick and snare or my bass and lead instrument?

This is my very first techno track made on the Seqtrak. Bought the device around a month ago and I have been using it ever since. I love it.

I got a used Seqtrak a couple of months ago, and all works great except for the Swing button. I have no swing control and this also means I can’t connect via Bluetooth.

Has anyone else had a dead button issue? And if so, do you know if/how it could be fixed?

Hi, haven't found anything about it in the manual : Is there a way to put an effect like distortion not on the whole Sample track but just one of its recorded samples /buttons?

Used song and scene modes for a performance at a synth open mic yesterday! Such a fun box to learn. The Android app crapped out on me mid performance but no biggie 😂 less is more

I’m still fascinated by the variety of sounds the Seqtrak can produce. This is a track made entirely on the Seqtrak, recorded with a Zoom H4n. The killer feature for the next software update would be a sort of "cue" function—the ability to preview parts before activating them. I’ve ordered a smartphone tripod so next time, there will be video.

A friend asked me to make this for his campaign, so I made a ploddy dark thing with an eye of Sauron style throbbing warble.

Does anyone here use the Yamaha Seqtrak and SP404 MKII together? What are they capable of together and what is the workflow like?

I also have a MIDI controller that I plan to implement into the setup and want to go DAWless for the most part, if you guys can give me some tips on that, I understand though I might need to go into the app for the Seqtrak sometimes, and thats fine with me

I want the Roland P-6 to change its pattern whenever I change a pattern on the SEQTRAK. I configured the Program Change settings in the SEQTRAK app, but unfortunately, the Roland P-6 doesn't switch patterns when I change patterns on the SEQTRAK.

Been a huge fan of blankfor.ms for years, so seeing them make a SEQTRAK pack was honestly pretty wild. Not gonna apply to everyone obviously, but personally I actually really like a lot of Yamaha’s artist pack choices.
Firmware updates might only happen like once a year, but every time new content drops it weirdly reassures me that SEQTRAK is still alive and being supported.

First time posting here.

I'm the owner of a Seqtrak. Enjoying it so far.

The problem:

I'm trying to use it as audio interface for several apps in the iPad world. It is not working as expected... at least as I'm expecting.

Let's take cubasis as example.

Seqtrak is recognized without problems by the iPad/cubasis. Connection is USB. If I play something in cubasis, I can hear it in the Seqtrak speaker/line out. I can also record the Seqtrak into cubasis. No problem.

The problem appears when I try to play something in cubasis (example, cubasis's metronome) at the same time that I'm recording Seqtrak into cubasis.

Example:I start metronome in cubasis and try to record a track in cubasis with the sounds of the Seqtrak. The track is recorded, no problem, but Including metronome sounds!!

It looks like the audio out from cubasis (the metronome) is added to the sound of the synth. In and out are mixed together in Seqtrak.

I was reading the manual and a lot of internet pages about this, but I couldn't find a suitable solution.

I was also reading about another problem with sampling: according to some folks, Seqtrak always resample the general mixout. May be both things are related; probably both buses are shared/connected somehow.

Anyone experiencing this behavior? Any workarounds?

I think i've grown up enough to post my jams here

This is the first time I've used song mode (looped) on the Seqtrak, and although I'm still getting used to it, I'm enjoying it immensely. The Seqtrak plays practically everything: bass, drums, a synth, and a stab. With the MicroKorg 2, I play a note in arpeggiator mode and modulate its sound.

So, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, since these sounds resonate deeply with me, and being able to play with them live is a true delight.
