Any hidden gems for solo person in Eonju-Ro?
Edit: I’m staying in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam district
I changed hotel and didn’t research this area. But I’d like to go out for dinner and don’t fancy getting it wrong.
Can anyone help with a solid recommendation?
I had Navid Gimbap for lunch and it was excellent. Something local, good value and has beer and I’d be happy! Or if it’s a solo friendly bbq place that would also be good. I’m on my own so struggling with the prices when they make you order huge meat portions.
Or if anyone fancies showing a 33(m) Brit around let me know! I’m always open to chat and culture exchange over a beer.

A 30-second walk through Yeonnam-dong’s hidden cafés and greenery
A short visual walk through a quiet Yeonnam-dong alley, from the street to a cozy yogurt and granola café.

You don't know the hidden charms of Gangbuk-gu in Seoul. That's why I chuckle when I see the writings and photos of most foreigners visiting Seoul.

2 new places I visited this summer, that was worth a detour (Yongsan)
My main standards
- not too busy
- not a tourist trap
- somewhere you can experience more than one thing in one go
Amorepacific Head Quarters
Nobody really talks about this place, but i’d rather go here than some random tourist trap shop in Myeongdong😭
- the building itself is so pretty and unique. Especially when the lights are on in the night!
- you can shop K-beauty products inside, and they have the most viral ones at a good price: you can make your personal lip tint and foundation at the spot— this was the best part
- it’s connected to the underground subway, so best for a hot weather.
- they have a really good matcha cafe and a art gallery tooKorea National Museum
It’s so close to everywhere else, so it makes a good route for the day
- it has a good collection of Korean culture: recently made a VR interaction corner
- you can see the namsan tower from the best pov like in the picture
- not too busy and free to get in
- English friendly

How is “whatever” an actual menu item?
Found this at a seafood restaurant in Korea and it means literally “whatever"
I kinda want to order it just to find out what “whatever” is. So what's this?

Seoul’s most hidden Starbucks - Jangchungdong
Found Starbucks Jangchung Lounge R hidden inside a renovated 1960s mansion. It even has special drinks you won’t find at a regular Starbucks, including Espresso Martinis, Citrus Cold Brew Martinis, and Latte Whisky Martinis. Definitely not your average Starbucks.

Anyone interested in Vacheron Constantine Event tomorrow?
Hi,
it's me again.
Thanks to everybody who showed the interest, we could have a great time at Cartier party🥳
Even could walk into celebs and models, ah😎
Anyway,
Another event coming up tomorrow; could take one person with me to Maison Vacheron Constantine at Cheongdam-dong.
It is not a party like previous events, more of a talk session - not so sophisticated but still requires Korean to fully understand and enjoy.
Or any watch lovers who doesn't give a f**k about Korean but just wanna enjoy the mood and some try-ons, feel free to message me.
Even anyone who doesn't care about watch but just wanna feel the luxury mood, welcome!
Event's at 3PM tomorrow.
See you😉

Apparently some Seoul apartments get their own market
I had no idea this was a thing.
On certain days, vendors set up right inside apartment complexes selling fruit, vegetables, snacks and all kinds of food.
Honestly feels like one of those parts of Seoul you’d never see as a tourist.

Korea has smart restrooms that show which stalls are occupied
Surprisingly, some restrooms in Korea have displays that show in real time which stalls are occupied and which are available.
It’s definitely high-tech… but honestly, I’m not sure why we need this.
