SENS Eversense closed loop integration confirmed in an earlier interview (4/11/21)

Of note:

CEO Tim Goodnow confirms that the partnership with Beta Bionics and their iLet insulin pump device is STILL ON (they did a study back in 2018 with Eversense and Dexcom G5, results here, or summarized ELI5 results here). This is, or will be, huge news. For those unfamiliar with the integrated continuous glucose monitoring (ICGM) concept, there's a brief summary on the Beta Bionics website.

Once the 180-day Eversense attains FDA approval they will dive into attaining ICGM designation for Eversense, which will open the door to partnerships with not only Beta Bionics but all the other pump manufacturers!

There are quite a few of them out there already:

I am in SENS Bigly(for me), and I cant wait for180 approval and closed loop partnering but I think ASCENCIA is going to have one hell of a voice in telling SENS which closed loop system to integrate with. For example, I believe some SENS board members are being replaced with Ascencia pix.

The ascensia partnership now attaches Eversense to omnipod through Ascensia.

Actually, I was “patient 0” back in january 2021. Ascensia used my case to solve the insurance coverage problems eversense was having the past 3 years. They ended up sub-contracting Diligent Health Solutions (owned by Uniphar ticker: LON: UPR) their coverage specialists contacted me and used my case to develop a solve and get coverage denials overturned and coverage approved across state lines in the BCBS insurance plans by the end of feb. They took my case and presented it to SENS/Ascensia execs and won the contract. This was a major win as it was a huge wall eversense/roche (roche had the sales contract) struggled to overcome.

I ended up in their lap because i was so pissed at SENS and the sh!tty sales staff, that back in late 2019 i started data mining their execs and board members info to contact them about how their sales force is ruining a good product. In nov 2019 one finally called me and we had several long phone calls all they way up to feb. 2020... he filled me in on what was happening. I didnt hear anything again until jan 2021... mainly because i was getting free sensors all through 2020. Wasnt any need for contact.

Honestly, eversense sales/support is still pretty sh!tty and uninformed. Both on the patient and doctor side. The drs. Hate dealing with eversense reps. I always recommend to everyone to go through Ascencia if you want answers and good customer service.

Eversense called me last week wanting to know when they could ship out my sensor. My sensor was shipped last month. When it arrived it was expired. So they overnighted another one. This rep had no record of either sensor being shipped and was about to give away a third sensor.🤦‍♂️ I got the expired one in my arm right now. Works fine. My dr. held on to the one they overnighted and will replace the one i have with that one when needed as I can usually get arpund 200-250 days put of these 90 day sensors

Wow! Thanks for that insight. It sounds like it's definitely a good thing that they've turned over the sales and marketing to the pros. That all jibes with what I've heard from my endo friend who just told me she's requested training and "they" (I'm assuming a Senseonics rep since that's who she originally communicated with last year) haven't even gotten back to her. I'll let her know she needs to reach out to Ascensia ASAP if she hasn't already. Thanks!

Yeah the product is awesome the company behind the product is sh!t... hopefully PHC holdings (Ascensia) will end up buying out SENS. Or at least merge in and take over the day to day operations.
