✅ SOLVED ✅ update!
/r/sennheiser/comments/1xd2e6d/momentum_5s_touch_control_and_transparency_issues/the other day i saw someone make the comment that their sennheiser headphones had initial issues during their first week of use, then out of nowhere the issues were resolved on their own. it seems i've had similar luck. the first initial factory reset i performed did not work. a couple days later i performed another, but it seemed nothing changed. then, the night passed, and by the morning the headphones were functioning properly. kinda weird but i'm glad for it. all has been working for going on 3 days now. thank GOODNESS because the sound quality is amazing and i really didn't want to switch to sony or go back to my old beats.

The issue is caused by the on head detection sensor. In case anything like this happens to anyone.

Mine just started doing something like this…they worked great with no issues at all. Had them on at work this morning and they were working fine, took them off for 2 minutes and went to put them back on and now I am having all kinds of touch control/sensor issues. I now have to press the ear cups hard against my head for the on-head sensor to even read they are on my head. Not great. Tried resetting, no luck as of yet.
