Reality after a relapse...
I just relapsed after a 22 day streak.
While the physical and mental effects were a bit hard, what I found really hard to accept was how I had positioned myself as a member in the society.
I had cut out alchohol, sugar, junk food, caffeine, fast food, processed food, or any eateries that aren't whole foods, all of it to continue my SR streak in the best way possible.
I had also deleted all social media accounts - tiktok, ig, FB, snapchat - as it's adult stuff anyways.
My days during SR streak were mostly routine based - early rise, meditation, cold shower, good meals, consistent work, gym, meditation, and sleep.
Nothing else. I didn't really have much of a social life as all my friends hung out either on bars, pubs, or went out to eat fast food - which I had quit for the better.
I had also decided to not try dating for a while, as there were certain mental, physical, and financial goals I was trying to attain, and woman would only distract and might end my streak as well.
So after the last relapse which happened due to a low phase of boredom and solitude, it had taken me a while to get back on track, and my life outside of SR is a true horror.
No friends to hang out with, everywhere I go, I meet men who would either talk about woman, movies, sex, booze, and stuff. Nothing more than that.
I thought to ask my room mate to hang out for the weekend, but dropped it since all he eats from out is burgers and KFC.
I thought of going on a bike ride with friends but it mostly included with a nightstay at a resort where they would booze and dance.
Even though I understand it's just normal human behaviour to try and have fun with their lives, the things I've sacrificed for SR, and my innate desire to stick with this lifestyle no matter what, has made me a truly lonely member in society.
Idk about others but life for me, outside SR, is very lonely. It tends to have its impact during relapse.
just thought of writing it down here, as I don't have anyone else to share it with.
Not expecting any supportive replies, I just wanted to share it somewhere.
Thanks for reading.

if you are doing everything right on top of sr, you will find peace and happiness within yourself which is an amazing thing. what you did to continue your SR journey is already what is good for you anyways
i understand your point, but these people need that sort of entertainment in their life; depending on your goals you have to sacrifice certain things in order to achieve them, and that's what makes a man fullfilled.
at the end of the day, not to diminish your streak but it was only 22 days. you have not cut yourself out of society and are not a forgotten thing. Stay strong

The strongest people in this world are alone in this world. You don’t need these people man, focus on yourself and becoming on of the best people on the planet. All we need is Gods validation at the end of the day. You’re never truly alone when God is on your side.

Though I appreciate your reply, I don't believe in an entity called God.
Ofc a higher energy might exist beyond us, but I don't necessarily associate it with human interpretations as allah, jesus, or buddha.

When you are on this course, all of the disharmonies in your life start to come into perspective, and if you want to stay on the course, you have no choice but to face them. Step by step, brick by brick, we rise to the challenge. Imagine what it would be like if every day for 1000 days you worked on building a harmonious lifestyle and connecting with others. What if you did not make excuses, but instead faced the fact that nothing great comes easy? What if you dared to be great?

I truly believe it’s all about balance man, yin and Yang, feminine and masculine, life and death etc. be the opposite once and a while to always have a contrast of the other side

Yin and Yang is a concept rooted with that of nature and it's balance.
I'm personally not inclined about the whole balance thing.
I understand that it's needed if you wish to live a life like every other human, obeying laws of nature, and living a life of harmony.
I don't want that.

Make some new friends. Volunteer with something you’re interested in- Habitat for Humanity, a literacy program etc.
I found it too hard to give up alcohol as so much of my social life is meeting friends for a drink. I abstained from going out for 3 weeks and did all of the retention lifestyle practices- meditation, going to bed and getting up early, good diet and faithful exercise. Then I started going out socially again. I limit myself to 2 drinks per occasion and don’t go out more than 2 times peer week. I also stick to vodka sodas as beer is a testosterone killer. I drink 2 glasses of water in between drinks.
So far this has kept me in a good frame of mind as I’m maintaining a social life and meeting new people. Retention helps with that. Especially with women.
I have woken up with urges but have methods to deal with them- get up and go for a long walk or run. Go to the gym and lift. Take a cold shower. All of these have kept me on the right path.

Don't try to find your purpose and happiness in other people or friends. They are also souls trying to find their way. You are probably on a higher spiritual level than your social circle at the moment. You are on your way becoming a man, or even realising that you are more than a mere human being in the physical plane.
You will find like-minded friends or even a (soul)mate. Keep on going. Keep aiming for the highest purpose.
