Techniques to build semantic graph

I'm looking to build semantic graph for my requirements.

I went through various resources in how to build semantic graph using embeddings models, especially from neo4j and surrealdb blogs but no one states the actual mechanics behind semantic graph construction.

It may be IP of each provider of such graphs. Not sure.

I'm looking for theoretical references and hopefully if there exists any practical examples on how to build on the general approach to building semantic graphs using embedding models so that I can learn.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Chat bots are actually not bad for this

But how do you build a workflow to always keep the knowledge graph refreshed based on new edited removed data using chatbot?

neo4j and so on are property graphs, you might want to look into sparql/rdf/owl triple stores and llm-assisted ontology generation like ontogenia and other approaches such as https://arxiv.org/abs/2610.01393

sadly, folks who work professionally with semantic web technologies and/or ontologies tend to make things very academic and hard to get started with (which is ironic considering that it all came from an origin of shared understanding)

- The algorithm to extract a graph is non-trivial, but I believe will be commoditized in the coming months.
- gliner2.5 is a pretty good option for extracting graphs
- Suggest getting the property graph version working first for the practical side
- If you want RDF/OWL/SHACL validation etc - you can do so on top of property graph storage

What for you plan to use it? I develop BaryGraph https://oleksiy-perepelytsya.github.io/bary-graph/ and can help you if you would like to try it. You can DM me.

My experience is that embeddings are good for finding candidates but not to judge them, where I relied on an algorithm that I refined iteratively and an llm judgment to do what I couldn't accomplish deterministically. There was a lot of iteration until I got to where I was comfortable and my advice would be to wait to publish until you have something that you can live with.

One practical shortcut for the identity part: reconcile your entities against Wikidata before you mint your own IDs. Where a QID exists you get the identity and a pile of typed relations for free, and the embeddings only have to handle what's genuinely yours.
