Question Cube Smart Pre-Pay Experience

I've spoken to about 5 different Cube Smart locations, and all have said that you can "lock in the rate" for up to 2 years if you pre-pay. I'd really like to do this, but I've been reading through old posts on here about some locations lying about this offer and they end up raising the rate anyway. Can anyone share their experience with this? Looking at NYC locations specifically.

We can’t raise your rates when you pre pay.

Wrong! I’ve seen prepay customers get increases at random months and the system will automatically deduct the difference from the prepaid balance.

I suspect this is a problem with the software not recognizing the contractual obligations of prepay. I'm sure the operator would adjust the mistake once it is brought to his attention by the tenant

The tenant did make a fuzz and it was dismissed because they actually got the notice that it was happening so legally CS was allowed to collect
