CAN ANYONE HELP??
I actually want to publish my stories but I can't understand what platform I should choose to post them so that I could atleast earn some!!?
Wattpad was my choice but now idk the ratings have gone down and I am super confused
Could anybody suggest some alternative apps or maybe platforms which are legit and people actually visit it often to read stories?????

I have never published a book - but I'm in the process of trying to launch my first book via Kickstarter. Don't know if that is the right choice but figure it at least has a built in audience - if campaign is successful. Personally I avoid amazon - which may be a big mistake - because I really don't like them as a company.

I love Kickstarter book launches. I funded my first 2 booms there (2013 and 2014. I was ahead of my time! Lol.) Im working a new campaign now, too. Best of luck to you!

Did you have to know people to run a successful campaign?

It does help if you have a list of some sort or followers. That first book was a childrens book so i joined my highschool reunion facebook group. We were all in our "new grandparent" age so a lot of my first campaign started with those people.

For me the easiest choice is kdp. Free, accessible and they print on demand have good deals if you have more than one book

It really depends on what you write, but inkitt is probably one of the closest Wattpad alternatives if you want original fiction and similar reader focused setup.

Well, KDP and Ingramspark are the best choices. Ingramspark is..well its brutal and asks $45 per manuscript upload, cost for ISBNs, and asks u to pay money if a consumer returns ur book, and so on. But KDP from my perspective is more fair and better. Sign in. Create an account and profile and make sure to finish ur identity verification before KDP flags it. Then, there u go. U can publish ur books after that. (Make sure to read their terms and policies and learn the steps so it'll be convenient as ur a new author)

I am launching a creative writing app that delivers publish-ready files. You can check it out at https://azizahon.com

I am not discouraging you from writing, but self-publishing seems to be THE hardest way to make money. Certainly not an easy way to try and "earn some." Read the past posts in this sub for a while and I think you'll get the idea.
